This brings their overall record to 14-9 (as of print date) and their league record to 9-5. They opened this stretch with a win against Park that showcased their good defense and pitching, along with a solid offensive attack winning 7-0. The team emerged victorious in four out of four games against St. Mary's. Despite close wins in all but the last game, the Hawks jumped to early leads in each of the games, and St. Mary's was unable to make a complete comeback. The last two wins came against Lincoln. During this seven game stretch, J.P. McGrath improved his record to 6-1 while Andrew Silver also gained two victories. Transfer, Shane Lankford, has added a spark at the top of the lineup followed by Jared Pitts. The two set the table for Ray Chang, Steve Bruce, and Joe Germano to rack up the RBIs. Andrew Silver won the heartland conference player of the week for his two hit shutout against St. Mary's.

The Lady Hawk's softball team has been establishing themselves as a contender in their first season of play. They have already established a rivalry or dislike towards McPherson, who continues to squeeze out one run victories over the Lady Hawks. After splitting their doubleheader home opener with Avila, they beat the Bemidji State team handedly twice. The team then traveled to Park where the home team took both games and the Lady Hawks dropped to 9-7. Kourtney Burnett and Erin Watkins switch the duties at pitching. The offensive production is anchored by the two pitchers, along with Curry Brown, and Lacey Johnson.

The men's golf team has encountered many troubling climates early in the season. The rough weather culminated with a round played during a small snow storm. With the loss of three seniors from last year the team enters with an inexperienced team looking for leadership from senior Adam Lebahn. Juniors Kyle Kluge and Craig Higginbotham are also solid returning players. The weather has especially hurt the chances of the Rockhurst team as the scores have been higher while the teams they are facing mostly play in more comfortable climates in the South. Next year the team moves to the Heartland Conference which will help when the weather hurts the conditions.

The women's golf team brings back seniors Erin Bush, Darcy Riha, and Kit Emerson. The team will look to these three seniors and their three juniors, as the team has a total of six freshmen. While the men's team has had three tournaments so far the women have only had one tournament in which they placed third among competitors.

The men's tennis team is led by Gareth Dowdell and newcomer Paul Ravkin. Their overall team record is 7-4 with a recent dominating performance against South Dakota State in which all nine matches were won.

Last year the women's team, who made a run in the NCAA tournament, was recognized as Academic Team All-Americans. The women's team has a 4-4 record while similarly dominating the South Dakota team. Heather Renier leads a group of experienced players that hope to continue to the tournament for the second straight year
