The baseball team has been on a tear this month. After winning all four games in a doubleheader at home over UMSL on April 3 (9-6 and 5-1) and April 4 (6-3 and 7-6), they dropped a home game to Washburn 3-4 on April 7.

They bounced back by splitting a pair of doubleheaders at division foe Southern Indiana on April 11 (5-3 and 4-6) and April 12 (6-0 and 3-4).

Then their home game against UNO was postponed on April 14. Finally, they went to Kentucky and took 3 of 4 from Kentucky Wesleyan on April 17 (6-4 and 9-7) and April 18 (8-6 and 3-5).

Their overall record is 30 - 14 with a 16 - 8 record in GLVC. They stand in second place in the GLVC West division just percentage points behind Southern Indiana with an 11 - 5 record in the division.

Slugging first baseman Ryan Porter leads the team in homers (8) and RBI (38) and pitcher Mark Himmelberg leads the team in ERA (1.85) and has a 4 - 0 record.

Softball has been up and down this season.

After winning a doubleheader at Missouri Baptist on April 4 (5-4 and 7-4) and a game at NW Missouri State on April 8 (7-5). Then they dropped both games in doubleheaders at Saint Joseph's on April 11 (0-3 and 5-6) and Indianapolis (0-2 and 0-8).

Back home on April 15, they split a doubleheader with Quincy (0-1 and 1-0). Then they dropped both games in a doubleheader to Kentucky Wesleyan on April 18 (0-2 and 1-3), before taking a doubleheader with Southern Indiana on April 19 (8-1 and 3-2).

Their current record is 17 - 17 and Leslie Furdek leads the team with 17 RBI.

Men's golf took 7th in the GLVC tournament on April 9 and 10 and then took 10th in the Ichabod Invitational on April 14.

Women's golf took 4th in the Park Spring Invitational April 13 and 14.

Men's tennis recently won matches over Lewis 5-3 and Saint Joseph's 8-1 on April 10 and 11. They lost to Washburn 3-6 on April 15 and then went on the road to defeat Southern Indiana 7-2 on April 18.
They are currently 2nd in the GLVC.


Women's tennis beat Lewis 5-0 and Saint Joseph's 9-0. Then lost to Washburn 3-6 before winning at MO Southern 9-0 and Southern Indiana 8-1. They are currently 3rd in the GLVC.
